Actually, this is the wrong tense. America has gone off the rails on their crazy train. The rest of the world understands that America is not the shining beacon on the hill. America is becoming a lesson on how fragile democracy is when under attack by the oligarchs determined to destroy our democracy.
I wander who the oligarchs think will continue to make them rich once the majority of Americans suffer during a depression. It’s short sighted to want all the wealth. Eventually the people revolt. Eventually those protecting the oligarchs revolt.
There is no end to the greed of the oligarchs.
